Silver St Sebastian Charm Pendant

felt Vintage

£50.00

A very rare vintage silver-toned pendant, featuring a dual-sided design that honours three of Christendom’s most influential figures.

The front of the medal depicts a bust of St. Sebastian. He is shown with a youthful, resolute expression, framed by the Latin inscription "SANCTO MARTIRI SEBASTIANO" (Saint Martyr Sebastian). The high-relief casting beautifully captures the physical strength and endurance for which he is famously known.

The reverse features a detailed double-portrait of Saints Peter and Paul, the patron saints of Rome. St. Peter is visible on the left, identifiable by the Keys to Heaven he holds, while St. Paul is on the right, depicted with his traditional long beard and holding the Gospel book.

As the patron of athletes and soldiers, St. Sebastian is a timeless symbol of resilience and endurance. The addition of Peter and Paul—the "founding rocks" of the church—elevates this piece into a formidable "protection medal."

It serves as a meaningful present for those embarking on new life chapters, requiring spiritual fortitude and perseverance, or undergoing a significant physical journey. It is also a standout piece for those who appreciate the deep history of Roman hagiography.

Measurements: 14 mm in diameter with a 7 mm jump ring.
