Another stunning necklace by Sophie Theakston, whose work is inspired by antiquities and religious symbolism that she encounters during her travels.
Polki diamonds are one of the oldest forms of cut diamond, first introduced in India by the Moghuls, and they remain the traditional jewels for Indian wedding ceremonies.
They retain their original rough form and have a flat, polished surface with varied shallow facets at the edges to reflect light. Each is cut to follow the original rough stone, making every piece unique.
The seven diamonds are set in 18ct gold and backed with a foil for maximum sparkle.
The necklace measures 42cm in total length, with two jump rings at 36cm and 39cm, allowing it to be worn at three different lengths for your convenience.
Garland necklace with stars, hearts and flowers also available.
